Artist Bio
I'm a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Qatar, and my work explores the intersection of Arabic typography, storytelling, and traditional craft. I’m deeply inspired by classical Arabic literature and poetry and I often reinterpret these texts visually through block printing, embroidery, and pixel-based illustration.
Much of my practice is rooted in process and material. I carve woodblocks, hand-print fabric, and experiment with form to create pieces that reflect both personal and cultural memory. Whether I'm layering thread into letterforms or illustrating narratives from heritage texts, I aim to give visual weight to language and its histories.
I graduated from VCUarts Qatar, and since then, I’ve been developing projects that connect the past to the present—like celestial-themed workshops under the night sky or large-scale tapestries that map natural elements like rain. Through my work, I hope to spark dialogue, preserve beauty, and offer new ways of seeing the familiar.
